A child may travel alone from its fifth anniversary as an U.M. and will be taken care of by the company’s staff from flight check in to its arrival.
From its 12th anniversary, a child is considered as independent, it may travel alone without any particular assistance. However, on Tokyo, Osaka and Seoul lines, Aircalin offers young passengers between 12 and 17 the possibility to be treated as U.M. This service is not free and is optional (90 Euros One Way between France and Noumea)
Bookings through the Internet are not possible for U.M.s. Please contact our commercial services to assess the procedures to be followed.
An U.M. child must have its own passport and visas; it may not use its parents’ Passport, though it is registered on it.
We recommend you arrive for check in at least 30 minutes prior to check in deadline, and mention to our agents that your child is travelling alone, as an U.M.
Upon arrival, the person who will collect the child must produce an identity document for our ground staff.
Provided the first eight months of your pregnancy were normal, without any symptoms leading to fear complications or a premature delivery until the date of the flight, you are permitted to travel on Aircalin flights without any particular restriction
From the ninth month’s pregnancy or at any time of pregnancy in the event of symptoms leading to fear an early delivery or complications, you will have to produce a medical agreement stating your ability for air travel stating the flight may be made without danger for you or your child
HOW TO OBTAIN THE MEDICAL AGREEMENT
The procedure for obtaining medical agreement is as follows:
A medical certificate established by the passenger’s doctor does not constitute an agreement for the flight: only the Company Doctor is allowed to judge whether the air transportation is possible or not.
